Rain, rain, go away

I would post a picture, but I'm not sure the the sight of a dreary, gray day would do any more for you than it is doing for me!

Nana is here visiting from up North, and I sadly had to inform my daughter that we will not be going to the zoo today as planned. It's been cloudy, cold and rainy since Sunday, and I just don't want to risk anyone getting sick.

I haven't even made it out to my garden in the last couple of days, but have been watching from my dining room window as it gets "watered" from above, and as the weeds flourish with all this extra liquid love. So far I've been unwilling to make myself go out and deal with it in the rain and the muck, and I'm sure I'll pay for it later.

In other news, I have a really adorable video of my daughter that I am trying to get uploaded to YouTube to post for you all, but I had no idea how long it would take to upload, so hopefully it will be available for your viewing pleasure later this afternoon.

My feed… ah yes, that thing which has occupied half of my computer time of late. Just when it seems that I'm getting to the bottom of it and it's about to be fixed, I am disappointed to open Bloglines and see that indeed, it has still not updated yet. I am working on my last ditch attempt (hmm, familiar words– didn't I say that two days ago??) to get it straightened out. I'm praying it works this time. If not, it's not the end of the world.

As for other blog switching issues, I've got all of the images and most of the links working again! There are a few links from last week that I need to fix, and then there is the issue of how my categories have now disappeared and will all need to be added back in… tedious, but not complicated, at least.

If you have linked to my blog in the past week, would you mind just checking those links and seeing if they need to be replaced? There has been a small but important change in my domain, which affects my urls, and would cause your links to be broken. It should only be those links that were created since last Wednesday, I believe. Please let me know if you have any trouble doing this! Thank you so much!

We're off, to do a little thrift store shopping and bargain hunting, so it should still be a fun day out with Nana– and we're off!

  1. Hi Stephanie!

I’ve been reading your blog for a few months now and I really enjoy it!

It’s hot here in Georgia and the kids are asking for popsicles. But all of the popsicles at the store have dyes or added sugar. I’ve tried to make them before – but the homemade kind are never soft enough to bite into like the store bought kind. They end up solid – like blocks of ice!! So here’s my question – do you (or any of your readers) have any healthy popsicle recipes that are similar in texture to the ones you can buy at the store?

    Blessings – Ruth Ann
