It’s Ready! The 2012 Christmas Gift Guide (for your shopping pleasure)

KOTH Christmas Gift Guide 500x350

Are you thinking Christmas yet?

I’ll confess, I wasn’t really. Until this weekend.

As I went through and selected my favorite picks from each shop that is participating in our Christmas Gift Guide, my brain was spinning with perfect ideas for all those on my list. There really is a fantastic selection of items here!

How to use this Gift Guide

Take a look through now and get some ideas. If you’re ready, go ahead and be one of those awesome, uber-organied people who does their shopping in October!

If you’re not one of those (I’m more of a November gal, myself) the beautiful thing about this guide is that it isn’t going anywhere.

For 3 months, from now until January 15th, you can look at this guide at any time. Go back to find a company that you forgot the name of, go find new inspiration for a gift that you’re stuck on, or just get something that you need from a business you’ll be happy to support!

At any time, you can find this guide here

or here…

You’ll notice that many companies have also included coupon codes to help you save money, so be sure to check those out!

I have also gone through each shop and selected a handful of “Stephanie’s picks” which are things that stood out to me as something that I would give to someone on my own list, that I would enjoy receiving, or that I simply thought was a beautiful/novel/useful gift idea. These might help to get your gift-giving juices flowing, but know that each shop listed also has MUCH more in-store than the few items I linked to.

Find us on Facebook

Starting next week, we’ll be highlighting companies one at a time on our Facebook page, so that you can get familiar which each of the individual shops listed in the guide (think of it as us giving you a gentle nudge that the number of days left to do your Christmas shopping are getting shorter each time you see one of the posts).

    Hi
I just tried to order the “home gift set” from Jenuinely Pure and entered the KOTHXMAS code but got the message “The coupon code you entered couldn’t be applied to any items in your order”. Any idea why? thanks!

  2. Great list of companies, some of which I am familiar with, others not yet. I’ll be checking more of them out.

  3. As the comment doesn’t reflect on the content at all it seems just a thinly veiled attempt to syphon your readers off to their website (hence the off-site link). Not very professional. On a more positive note, thank you, Stephanie, for this list. I’m definitely going to be doing some Christmas shopping here. Also, will there be more sites added as well over the three months? I’ll keep checking back to see. :o)

  4. Great list! Thanks for putting this list together. Helps me save time in my search for unique gifts. I have learned so much from your blog. Have a great week!

  5. Homeinsteader says:

Sadly, you don’t seem to have anything in these “spend your money here and support these businesses” suggestions that are Made in the U.S.A.; try http://madeinusaforever.com/ – I am personally, at least, very disappointed that there is obviously no concern about buying made in the USA here.

    • Jamberry Nails is made in the USA!

    • the pleated poppy items are ALL handmade in California!

    • Actually, that’s not true at all. At least half of these companies make their products in the USA (or in Canada- that counts, too, because I’m a Canadian! :). Most of them are smaller, local businesses, and that’s definitely something that we wanted to support (our local economies!). Many of them, if they do import, are using fair trade or organic products, so you’re supporting good practices and fair wages. Just because their description doesn’t necessarily state that they’re “made in the USA” doesn’t mean they aren’t. I highly recommend that you actually look at some of these wonderful companies and learn more about what they do! :)

    • A bunch of Blessings Unlimited products are made by hand in small countries – the artisans are very happy to have the work and it keeps them out of poverty situations. We thank God that he has blessed us enough to be able to help and bless these others that are less fortunate than we are.

    • I would think that the term hand-made/hand-crafted would imply that and as a Canadian, I try to go local or support another mom rather then worry about their affliation (US or otherwise). Just my two cents.
