As a busy mom who likes to maintain a quick and simple getting-ready routine in the morning, I can tend to resort to ponytails. Lots of ponytails.
Not that there's anything wrong with a ponytail necessarily, but it's nice to look a little more pulled together when possible.
Lilla Rose clips have been a brilliant way to break out of the mold and do something prettier, in just as short a time as it takes to stick in an elastic band. These beautiful clips let you do a range of hair styles that take literally a minute to do.
Here's an example of one such style (and there are many other styles- take a look!):
Their flagship product (and definitely my favorite) is the Flexi Hair Clip:
Women who use the Flexi clip say it is so comfortable, they forget they are wearing it. The wide variety of designs, patented sliding pin, and array of colors makes our hair clip unique. The beaded wire really does flex around the hair... Our repeat customers are singing their praises about the strength and longevity of the Flexi. (taken from Lilla Rose website)
I absolutely agree. I got my first Flexi clips about a year and a half ago. They still look and work as well as on the day that I got them. They're simple to use and I reach for them at least once a week, and more like 2-3 times per week back when my hair was longer. One of the best features of the clip? The pin is attached so you can't lose it and it makes it easy to maneuver the clip with one hand, while you hold your hair with the other.
I have 3 different sizes for my fine hair (extra-small, small and medium), which lets me do basically any style. The small sizes are great for half-ups, a small is perfect for a ponytail, and a medium allows me to do twisted or tails-up styles. It's important to look at the sizing guides closely to figure out which sizes will best suit the styles you want to do, depending on the type of hair that you have.
Lilla Rose carries other hair products as well, including hair sticks (for buns, up-dos, etc.), beaded hair bands, and various kinds of decorative bobby pins, as well as necklaces and earrings.
This time around, I broadened my horizons by trying out a hair band, which I hoped would give me some more variety with styles for my above-shoulder length hair. It has a comfortable, adjustable band, which gives it a snug fit and it doesn't really slide around. I chose one with deep Topaz colored beads and it's classy looking but still casual to wear with almost anything.
Flexi clips come in girls sizes as well, and are they ever adorable. The Mini size is just perfect for a little girl's fine hair (although a girl with thick hair might be better with an Extra-Small). My 7 year old uses the Mini for ponytails or twists (she has quite fine hair), and they come in beautiful designs like butterflies, flowers, dragonflies and all sorts of colorful beaded and sparkly variations.
Flexi clip prices range from $11 (Mini) up to $27 (the most expensive Extra-Large), with the mid-size clips ranging from about $14-18. At first glance, these seem a little bit pricey, but their quality is high, they work so well, and they really do last. I've been very happy with mine!
