Happy Thanksgiving

I’m rereading Ann Voskamp’s One Thousand Gifts and I am reminded of how true this is. Gratitude really does change everything, most of all our hearts and our attitudes, regardless of our circumstances.

I know that you will all be celebrating Thanksgiving tomorrow with your sweet families and friends. Blessings on your day and your celebration!

As always, I continue to be so thankful for all of YOU! This site would be nothing without you (talking to myself doesn’t sound all that appealing). I am continually honored and blessed and humbled that you would make this one of the places that you visit. Thank you for allowing me to do what I love and for getting to share in community with all of you!

One winner to announce, of a $75 gift certificate for cloth diapers and accessories at Sweet Little Blessings!

Congrats, Sarah (sarah_salie@)!

Black Friday Deals

Although I won’t actually be posting any deals on the blog (there will be a regular post, though), I will be at my computer on Friday and will try to take the time to share any Black Friday deals that I see on natural living products, food, Christmas gift ideas, etc. that I come across. I’ll share them through Facebook and Twitter, so feel free to follow me there.

How are you celebrating Thanksgiving? And tell me, are you going to be shopping on Black Friday this year?

A Parent's Guide to Natural Remedies eCourse

I don't know if you've seen it or not, but I've shared a couple times this week about a collection of resources I'm honored to be a part of with some really brilliant authors and bloggers.

Before it's gone, I wanted to make sure that you knew that "A Parent's Guide to Natural Remedies" eCourse is included in the collection. If you're anything like me, you want to learn more about using natural methods for taking care of your family, but sometimes it's just hard to know where to start. Roxanne and Wendi have done a masterful job of boiling down the complexities of wholistic family care - including homeopathy, cell salts, essential oils, probiotics, and a bunch more - and making it really accessible for regular moms.

The crazy thing is...although they usually sell the eCourse at $95 (and it's a steal at that!), they've agree to include it in the special collection of resources I've helped put together, for only $29.97.

But, if you think getting a crash course in natural remedies at two thirds off the regular price is awesome, I think you'll be surprised to learn that it comes with 98 other resources handpicked for moms like you and me.

The Ultimate Homemaking Bundleis a complete library of carefully selected eBooks, eCourses, audios, online conferences, and printable packs from many of the top homemaking bloggers and writers on the web, to help you be the best mom and homemaker you can possibly be.

Now, you're obviously not going to read every eBook, and every eCourse (that would be a bit much!), but I think you'll find a number of resources in the collection to inspire, teach, equip, and encourage you in your role as a homemaker for years to come.

Valued at over $1290 but at a price tag of just $29.97, this is one tool your home can't do without!

Plus, everyone who buys a bundle through Keeper of the Home gets a bonus 2 oz. liquid herbal remedy AND our very own 4 ebooks, all designed to help you with more affordable, healthy homemaking. Learn more HERE.

But time is running out! The Ultimate Homemaking Bundle will only be available from 8:00 a.m. EST on Monday, April 20 until 11:59 p.m. EST on Monday, April 27. motionmailapp.com

  1. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours as well! May God bless your family time together, and reveal Himself as you look to Him. :)

  2. We love this time of the year. I will be roasting a pastured Chicken because its just me and my husband and a turkey would be too much food, also because I have never tried roasting a turkey before lol. We won’t be shopping this BF(we never do). Have a Happy Thanksgiving and thanks for all the inspiration to make healthy thanksgiving meals!

  3. I don’t like to shop–at least I don’t like to go to the stores. :) But I do like cyber shopping for stuff like eBooks!

Happy thanksgiving to you. I so appreciate your blog. I found you a little over a year ago and I love reading you posts. I feel though I don’t know you, you are a kindred spirit.
We are spending Thanksgiving with both my family and my husbands. We do the He eats at his parents (because that menu is home to him) and I eat the bulk of my meal at my family’s (because that menu resinates with me.) We are looking forward to the busy day of family and food.
As to shopping on Black Friday, if I can get a ride (my hubby will have our car that day for work) to the local Salvation army that is pretty much the only place I need to do store shopping. We are doing a handmade Christmas so some wool to repurpose is pretty much all I need. But, then again if I don’t make it. Regular prices at the SA will not break the bank either.

  5. I want to wish everyone a happy and blessed Thanksgiving! I’ve been following KOTH regularly for several months now and find such encouragement and great ideas. Many of the comments are uplifting and challenge me to think outside of my norm. I appreciate the community that is here so much!

My family will be travelling to spend this Thanksgiving with my in-laws. We’re praying for an uneventful drive, since we’re travelling with our 20 month old son and two dogs! Prayers for safe travels to anyone else making a trip this week!
