As a way to say thank you to you, my lovely readers, and to celebrate my one year blogiversary, I thought a giveaway was in order since it's been a couple of months since my last one. :)
Probably most of you don't remember or weren't reading yet, but way back when last Fall, I did my very first giveaway. In fond memory, I'm going to do a giveaway of the same nature once again.
Here's how it works: I'm going to link to a handful of books that I am either into at the moment or that I just love and want to share or that I'm eager to read myself, and you can take a look through them and let me know which one you would most want to receive if you were chosen! Next Monday, I will randomly choose one lucky reader, and she (or he, if I actually have any male readers!), will receive the book that she has selected. Sound good?
Here are the options:
From Clutter to Clarity: Simplifying Life from the Inside Out
- This is the book that I am loving right now, and working my way through for Living Simply Saturdays.
Nourishing Traditions: The Cookbook that Challenges Politically Correct Nutrition and the Diet Dictocrats
- I couldn't not include this book. I've owned it for a couple of years now, and continue to delve deeper and deeper into it, learning to incorporate more of it's principals into the way I prepare food for my family.
The Mission of Motherhood: Touching Your Child's Heart for Eternity
- Thanks to Lindsay's book study series, I'm thinking this book sounds like an excellent read to add to my list for the new year!
A Quest for More: Living for Something Bigger Than You
- I'm not finished with it yet, but this book is deeply challenging, as it encourages us to truly live for the Kingdom of God, rather than our own little kingdoms.
Big Truths for Little Kids: Teaching Your Children to Live for God
- The fantastic children's catechism that we are using and loving.
Relationships: A Mess Worth Making
- One of the many, many books on my next-to-buy list!
Rodale's Vegetable Garden Problem Solver
- The gardening book I fell in love with this summer, for it's incredible practical suggestions, simple layout, and for answering so many of my questions! If you're a fairly new organic gardener, you'd love this resource!
The Total Money Makeover: A Proven Plan for Financial Fitness
- I've offered this before, in my first giveaway, and due to the current economic situation, I felt it appropriate to offer if once again. If you are drowning in debt and payments, struggling to manage your money and not live from month to month, or wanting to learn how to steward your finances more carefully in light of difficult financial times, this book is for you. It's principles are invaluable, and I believe, quite Biblical.
I could add many more to the list, but I think I'll stop there! Hopefully everyone will find something that appeals to them in that mix! If you're unfamiliar with any of them, check out the link and read up on them a bit, then come back to enter the giveaway.
Here's how you enter:
1) Choose the book you'd love to win (if you can choose just one!)
2) Leave a comment with your name, and which book you want and why you want it.
3) Make sure you include your email address when you leave your comment (not in the comment itself, just in the comment form)
4) Giveaway will end Monday, October 27 at 3pm, and I will announce the winner the day after.
Note: This giveaway has now ended. Thanks so much to all who entered! The winner will be announced in a day or two.

I would love the Nourishing Traditions. I’ve really enjoyed reading your blog over the last couple of months and have started to cook from scratch more. It’s much easier than I thought and much healthier. Thanks for your posts!
Can I pick just one? No, I surely cannot! I guess if I have to, I would pick Nourishing Traditions. I have been so interested in cooking healthier for my family lately, and I have so little to go on. I was raised on meat and potatoes, so healthful eating to me was always making sure I added veggies! Thank you for this giveaway!

Congrats on your Blogoversary! I’ve subscribed for quite some time and enjoy your blog.
Wow, it’s hard to choose!
Rodale’s Vegetable Garden Problem Solver is intriguing to me since it’s written differently than the average gardening book.
Fun giveaway! The vegetable problem solver sounds like a great book (as well as the others you have listed.) I had a hard time deciding!
Nourishing Traditions – I have heard high reviews from several people and would love to add it to my little library. There seems to be such a wealth of knowledge available in this book.
Congratulations on your blog anniversary! My book choice is Nourishing Traditions. Thanks for celebrating with a book giveaway.
I would love the Mission of Motherhood. It would be such a great encouragement to me as a stay at home mom who is trying to train my little ones to love Jesus!!!
tough choice… but since I have been borrowing a friends Nourishing Traditions book for over a year now perhaps now is the perfect time to try and get my own. Thank you.
Enjoy your blog! Very hard to choose, but I think I would go with the Big Truths for Little Kids one! Thanks for the chance to win!
Congratulations on a whole year! I have been reading your blog for a few months now, and yours is always the first one I catch up on : )
The book I would choose would be “Big Truths for Little Kids”. My husband and I were just talking about getting a good catechism book for our son, who is turning 3 soon.
Thanks! : )
Hi Steph,
Somewhat de-lurking, although I have made a few comments. But since taking a bit of a break from transcribing, I’ve been checking your blog pretty regularly. Just want to say I’ll really miss having you in our CG. God has really used your passion for homemaking to spur me on in that area. I will be praying for you adjustment to the new CG. As for a book, the NT cookbook sounds pretty cool. :)

It is hard to choose, but I think I’ll go with From Clutter to Clarity because our library is less likely to get that one than the Gardening book. I’m really excited about getting into gardening and will check this one out for tips on getting started. Thanks for all the wonderful ideas you pass along!
I would love to have the From Clutter to Clarity: Simplifying Life from the Inside Out book. this is an area I have been working toward for the last few years. You have great taste :-) in books I have all but one of the other books you listed.;-) Thanks Trisha
I would love to win Nourishing Traditions. I have taken it out of the library several times but haven’t taken the plunge and bought it.
I’d like to be entered for “Nourishing Traditions” please. I’ve been reading your blog and Heavenly Homemakers for awhile now and am learning so much. I’ve been wanting to read the book, but haven’t yet!
Gee…it’s a hard choice, but I guess I would pick Total Money Makeover. Thanks for the suggestions of good books to read.
So hard to pick! I think if I had to choose, it would be Nourishing Traditions. However, both From Clutter to Clarity: Simplifying Life from the Inside Out &
Rodale’s Vegetable Garden Problem Solver look good, too. Thank you for your giveaway. I love doing them. I should have one, soon, too.
heya!!! as a sahm i would love to delve into Nourishing Traditions! I and my husband have really been making some wonderful changes to our lifestyle to more glorify the Lord and make us healthier in the pursuit! i would love to keep spreading the good knowledge we (we both looooove to cook!) can glean from this “treasure trove”! blessings to another “itchy-footed” mum;) -kileah
Oh, for sure the Clutter to Clarity. It’s going on my Christmas List!
I would love to read From Clutter to Clarity. I feel that the message of this book would be absolutely perfect for me to hear at this time in my life. I’m expecting baby number two’s arrival in January and we’re in a 850 sq. foot house (2 bedroom, 1 bath.) We’ve already got a lively 1.5 year old. I’m not only challenged with the physical clutter but emotional/mental as well. I just quit my job to stay at home and it’s tough to re-think how you’ve always done things in order to be wise and save money and make it on one income… especially in CA!
Thanks for the other good titles, too. I’ll be making a trip to my library soon!
I am so new to your blog that I actually feel guilty entering myself for this, but what the heck, right? Plus I totally NEED the TOTAL MONEY MAKEOVER! We have looked into financial counseling, etc, but it all COSTS money! And we don’t usually spend any extra – at all!!! We really are hoping to start pulling ourselves out of debt and are trying so hard just to pay the bills. This is really what we need. Either way – win or lose – thanks again for your great blog. I am an every day reader!
Kellie
I’m a new reader and enjoying your blog. I would like “From Clutter to Clarity” because I desperately need some help right now in clutter control. Right now my carpet is covered with school books, dirty socks, crayons, tools, toy cars, etc.! It’s hard to have clarity of mind and spirit when when the house is a wreck. I’ve heard good things about this book. Thanks for the chance to win. Blessings to you!
“Relationships: A Mess Worth Making”
This sounds… heavenly. Honest! Since getting married I’ve struggled so much with my other friendships! It’s terrible. There are days when I really feel like it’s NOT a mess worth making, even though I know that’s a lie.
So, even if I don’t win this- I’m going to have to put it on my “next to buy” list.
I would like Clutter to Clarity. I actually thought about buying it, but I am not spending any money on myself right now. So I am satisfying my desire to learn more, but blog-surfing. Your blog has been quite encouraging. It makes me so happy to know that there are other moms just like myself out there. Who desire to godly homemakers, educators of their own children, and helpmates to their husbands. You and your blog friends do a great job. because you know I follow any one of the blogs you recommend!!
Hi Stephanie — I would love to be chosen to receive the book From Clutter to Clarity. I have been wanting to order it this week and the task keeps getting pushed to the side. I think I mentioned, that I checked out the author and she seems to be doctrinely solid. I love the idea of eliminating “clutter” in the heart which Scripture tells us is the center of our thoughts and our words. I am passionate about reducing the cluttering noise of the culture in my life and replacing it with the purity of God’s Word. Very fun list of books! Thanks so much for the offering!
Hello, thanks for sharing with us and letting us celebrate with you. (I enjoy reading your blog very much!) I’d have to choose _The Mission of Motherhood_. They all sound great, but I think in my seemingly neverending struggle for balance between home and children, I need the encouragement and godly advice this book should bring. Thanks again!
Congrats on one year! I just passed my second in August and I can’t believe how fast time goes when one blogs.
I’d have to say the book I’m most interested in is Nourishing Traditions, just because I’ve heard so much about it.
Choose one?? oh my what a pickle. But I guess if I won I would love a copy of Clutter to Clarity. I was unable to find it at our library and after reading your blog I really wanted to read more.
I think I would pick A Quest for More because I’ve read Paul Tripp before and know it will be good. But it’s a hard choice! I don’t know much about Nourishing Traditions, but I’m curious. Maybe I can get it from my library. Thanks!
From Clutter to Clarity: Simplifying Life from the Inside Out !!!! It sounds great!
Congrats on your bloggiversary (spell that)
I really love your blog!
Congratulations on your first year anniversary in the blogging world! I’m glad you’re here. I would love to win a copy of “From Clutter to Clarity” I have been following your posts on it and every time I read them I think to myself, “I NEED that book!” It sounds great. Thanks so much for including me in your 1 year Blogiversary drawing.
Blessings,
Mrs. H
Oh goodness! I love to read so this is a hard choice. However, I am a new mommy to a beautiful boy so I think that I would choose “Mission of Motherhood”
From Clutter to Clarity is on its way to me via Amazon right now! Hooray!
If I could choose one, I would take Nourishing Traditions…
Nourishing Traditions, definitely! Talk about a great encyclopedia of knowledge!! I’ve been wanting to get my hands on a copies for the past few YEARS but we’ve never had room in the budget for it. When my kids were born, I had these great aspirations for serving them only organic healthy stuff… but as time has gone on, I’ve gotten a bit lax in that department. NT would be a GREAT way to get us back on track!!
Hi! I would like From Clutter to Clarity (that’s a pretty popular pick, isn’t it?). I am overwhelmed by my own clutter and even more by the clutter of the rest of my family. As the mom, I know I need to lead the way but it is so hard. I have read a couple of good clutter books but I am still not making as much progress on that front as I would like. Thanks for a chance to win this book.
I would chose the Mission of Motherhood. As a mother of 4, I’ve been feeling lately like I’m more focused on just getting daily household tasks and homeschool accomplished and I want to focus more on encouraging them spiritually.
I love Nourishing Traditions! But I already have that one…so the Gardening book would be great. Next spring we will have our first homegrown, organic veggie yield – yummy!
Thanks! Happy blogiversary!
I would probably like the Big Truths for Little Kids. It was a hard choice, but I have been thinking I need to pour more of God’s Word than I have been into my kiddies.
Thanks.
Congratulations on your anniversary. I truly enjoy reading your blog.
Gardening book- I have a HUGE desire to garden and no gardening books…
I would love to receive From Clutter to Clarity: Simplifying Life from the Inside Out. I’ve been following your posts about it, and I really need to get my life decluttered since the birth of my third baby a few weeks ago. I’ve been looking for the book at my library, but they don’t have it anywhere. Anyway, thanks for the giveaway! I love your site!
I’d love to have Nourishing Traditions. Your frequent posts that refer to it have made me consider picking it up many times. If I don’t win, it’s going on my Christmas list.
Thanks for a terrific blog!
I would love to win The Mission of Motherhood. We are praying that the Lord will bless us with children soon and I would love to start reading now about how to raise godly children as my husband and I are in this “waiting season.” God bless you, Stephanie!
I would like the clutter to clarity book. Although they all sound amazing! :)
Hey I would love to win the Big Truths for little kids. It looks like it would be awesome and I remember your video of Abbie answering the questions!! I’ve told you before but I LOVE your blog!! It’s great to know there are others out there that want to teach the same things to their children!!
It’s hard to choose, but I’ll go with The Mission of Motherhood. Congratulation on your first year of blogging and many more to come! Thank you!
I would love the Vegetable Garden Problem solver. My goal is to start my first garden next summer. This would truly help. Hope I win!
I really enjoy reading your blog. I learn so much. I would enjoy a copy of Nurishing Traditions.
You’re right, it’s hard to choose just one! My daughter is only 5 months old but I’m starting to think about what I want to teach her when so I’ll keep in mind the catechism but until then I’m interested in the Clutter book – I need that ASAP!
Congrats on one year!
Wow! I would love any of the first four! :-) I have been enjoying reading the book study too so I will pick Mission in Motherhood (and add the others to my wishlist!)
Wow, that’s a tough choice. I’d love to have a copy of the Clutter book and Nourishing Traditions, but right now I’d choose Big Truths for Little Kids. My girls are really soaking up every bit of info that I’m providing these days!!
