... I married my best friend, my incredible, patient, generous, loving husband Ryan. I can't believe how fast five years goes by! It has been an adventure-filled five years, full of twists and turns I never anticipated. Challenges, yes, but even more so, abundant blessings and the kind, providential hand of God so evident throughout.
There's no one else I'd rather do it with, and I'd say yes all over again. I love you, Ry. Happy Anniversary!
(This is actually about two weeks late, as our 5 year anniversary was September 13, but I was on vacation with no access to my photos and hadn't thought about it beforehand. The photos are not great quality, as they were taken with film, not digital, and I scanned them on a cheap scanner. Nonetheless, here is a little glimpse into our special day...)

Mrs. Jo, so cool to hear that someone else had a foot washing! We scooped up the idea from some good friends, but we hadn’t heard of anyone else who did it.
Thanks Brandi. I actually don’t have our wedding story up anywhere, but perhaps I will think about writing it up. The ceremony was a bit long, but we planned it to be very full of meaningful elements, and it was very special to us. :)

I had to comment because they look so much like ours! My hubby dipped me like that for our first kiss at the altar! We also got married by the water (next to a lake) and we did a foot-washing too! We were married 5 yrs. in June. I enjoy your blog! Happy anniversary, late!
