Heads up on dehydration

WaterI think I realized why I've been so tired lately and why my eyes have been red, swollen and bitterly complaining every time I try to wear my contacts. My MIL stayed out our house last night, and I think she solved the puzzle for me.

Apparently, eyes can be one of the first things to dry out when we are dehydrated. I knew that being dehydrated could make me tired, but I just wasn't connecting the dots, and so I didn't think of that as being the potential cause of the overwhelming exhaustion I've felt the last couple of day.

Between the very high temperatures we've had this past week, and nursing 3-4 times a day, I guess I just haven't been drinking enough water. I'm glad for the reminder to be more aware of it.

Speaking of hydration, I happen to know that Alison will be guest posting here on the very topic of water and hydration tomorrow, and I am so eager to put up her post (for all of you, but for myself as well!). It will be excellent, so make sure you get a chance to read it!
