Best deals on Klean Kanteen?

A quick question for you all (because I know you're such a resourceful bunch!)...

My SIL and I have decided to bite the bullet and start buying some Klean Kanteen bottles that I've been mentioning, as we've been wanting to for quite some time, but the cost is just somewhat prohibitive.

Does anyone have any recommendations as to where we can find the best deal? They're tough to find in Canada (I already searched out local retailers and didn't come up with much), so looks like we'll be ordering online. The problem is finding ones that are in stock (because we want several different sizes/styles), for decent prices, and with not-ridiculous shipping costs (US shipping is ok for us). Somewhere that gives you free shipping when you buy a certain $ amount would be even better!

Any ideas???

Have you checked the Mountain Equpiment Co-op web site, I think they have some bottles like that. Otherwise I would say check ebay and see what they ahve on there. I'll go check and let you know.

There are about 5 on ebay I found that range from aroung $8 to $18 plus shipping. If you want the item numbers let me know, I made not of them.

We are supposed to be ordering them through our co-op I am so excited we are getting them for about 1/2 the price.

I always order them from Amazon. Especially because I do mypoints and I always get Amazon gift cards with my mypoints. Then I get them for Free! Getting a group together to order is another great idea to get a discount. I might see if our coop is interested. Good luck!

I'm not sure where you live - but there are some great canadian companies that you can order Klean Kanteen from.
I'm ordering from plasticfreeplanet (since I live in Ottawa) and i cannot wait for the colored ones to arrive! Love the chocolate brown one!!

P.S - awesome blog!! I thought it was time for me to stop lurking and actually say hi!!

Here is an ebay store with good packages and accessories. Amazon seems to have gone up on their prices, so even with free shipping it's not such a good deal. HTH, Christy

I have no idea what a "good price" would be for you, but we got ours from Quebec. I know my DH researched it and felt this was best, even on our limited budget. We ended up using some of our tax return...

I couldn't be happier with ours. I have noticed other cheaper ones that don't look as durable or as good quality. I love our Kleen Kanteen. We got the stainless steel tops too and got the sippy part for our toddler although she prefers just the open top.

My DH got them from www.lifewithoutplastic.com

Thanks so much for all the great suggestions- I spent a lot of time really looking around, and sifting through all the links.
In the end, we ordered from a place called Greenfeet (www.greenfeet.com). What made their stuff great was that they had Klean Kanteen bottles with their Greenfeet logos on them, for cheaper than we had seen more other KK bottles. And, instead of coming with the #5 tops, they came standard with the stainless steel tops, which was our preference, but we didn't want to pay an extra $5-$7 on top of what we were already paying for the bottles.
My SIL purchased two 40 oz. bottles, and I got a 27 oz and a sippy for my son to start us off. The shipping was quite reasonable as well, under $8 for those 4 items (to WA). Overall, we're pretty happy with it and can't wait to get our bottles!
