At least I ’ m not allergic to water!

by Stephanie @ Keeper of the Home on February 23, 08

Our sweet little 3 year old daughter has noticed that I am not eating many of my usual foods. Since she has some of her own food sensitivities (for simplicity's sake, we just refer to them as allergies when we talk to her about it), she understands this fairly well.

Everyday she asks me about something different that she and Daddy can eat, but that I'm not able to right now because of my Candida cleanse and temporary diet. Each time, I just respond that right now that food is an allergy for Mommy, but one day I'll be able to eat it again.

The other day, she came up to me in the kitchen, looked right up at me with those beautiful baby blues and said, "Mommy, are you allergic to water?"

It would make sense that she would think I must be, since I can barely eat anything else! A very logical train of thought, in my opinion.

I smiled and said that no, I wasn't allergic to water.

To which she lovingly replied, "Oh, that's good, Mommy. So when you're hungry, that's what you should have!"

Now why didn't I think of that?!?
