If both spouses aren't committed to how the budget has been set up, the amounts, the limits within each category, the savings goals, the avoidance of debt, etc. then it's easy for there to be a source of tension. Especially if the one who does the budgeting is working so hard at it, and the other spouse is not truly following along with what has been set, it could sow seeds of resentment. I just started working with YNAB and it looks interesting so far. I am reading Jesse's introductory "book." We'll see how much time I save working out the bills and all (since I pay them and control all the money hahaha.)
