Children are a blessing from the Lord

"Children are a gift from the Lord: they are a reward from him. Children born to a young man are like sharp arrows in a warrior's hands. How happy is the man whose quiver is full of them! He will not be put to shame when he confronts his accusers at the city gates."

Psalm 127:3-5

As I meandered over to Amy's Humble Musings this afternoon (to whom the children in this picture belong), I was so blessed to watch this video, made in celebration of the recent birth of their 6th child, Elisabeth Hope.

In a culture where children are often undervalued, treated as burdens and inconveniences, and even despised by some, it is a truly rare and beautiful thing to see a family proclaim that it is pure joy to welcome another child into their hearts and home.
